ABBREVIATIONS:
k: knit | p: purl | st(s): stitch(es) | R: row
sl1: slip a st from left needle to right needle without working
ktbl: k to back of loop/st
yo: yarn over, starting at front of work pass yarn over needle to back. When you reach a yo on next row, k as directed. This should create a hole.
k/p 2tog: k or p 2 sts together to create one st
ssk: slip a st knitwise from left-hand needle to right-hand needle, repeat, keep sts facing this direction, then with left needle k into both of them to create one st.
